So God Made a FarmHER

While everyone else is gearing up or have already started #Harvest2020 .... we’re in the “home” stretch for #haySeason2020 to be done... just a few more fields!!! So close -

And I think Paul Harvey said it best...

God said, "I need somebody willing to sit up all night with a newborn colt. And watch it die. Then dry his eyes and say, 'Maybe next year.' I need somebody who can shape an ax handle from a persimmon sprout, shoe a horse with a hunk of car tire, who can make harness out of haywire, feed sacks and shoe scraps. And who, planting time and harvest season, will finish his forty-hour week by Tuesday noon, then, pain'n from 'tractor back,' put in another seventy-two hours." So God made a farmer.
God had to have somebody willing to ride the ruts at double speed to get the hay in ahead of the rain clouds and yet stop in mid-field and race to help when he sees the first smoke from a neighbor's place. So God made a farmer.”

God lead me to this path - to continue sharing our farm life - to wake up each morning with a grateful smile on our faces even when we’re tired. Jesus was tired too. He grew weary during his Season... just as we are now.

But he kept pushing on... he was tired but he never gave up. He still isn’t giving up. Even when I have wanted too. I’ve grown mentally tired over the last few months. Feeling drained to my soul. Feeling overwhelmed by all these outside forces. Things that I can’t control but feeling the weight of it all on my shoulders.

Feeling this need to “fix” everything, everyone and try to still make dinner on top of it all. Sometimes in life we get carried away with things that seem so BIG at the time but in hindsight after the season is threw. Wasn’t really all that big of a deal.

This HaySeason was a very big challenge in learning to work with Jason. It tested our Marriage, our Relationship in ways - I’ll be honest. I wasn’t ready for. But we pushed on. Each day with a new smile & a new sunrise. We got tired. We had breakdowns and fights. But God made us for a Purpose. He lead me down this path for so much more than to ”just bale Hay”.
