Today I find myself grateful for the little things ... things that to others are often over looked. But today. As the truck reads -7° & there’s snow drifts & the winds blowing -22° ... I find myself caught in the moment.
The moment when the littlest of things truly matter.... like having a 4Wheel Drive truck with heated seats ... out making sure there’s no new calves half frozen. And thankfully they’re not. And the one that is outside is thriving next to momma.
It’s cold - it’s nasty. I’m sure half the country is thinking - maybe I should rethink February Calving ... but guess what. Next year we may be calving in February with 45° rain & mud .... it’s just a season. A season of learning, growing but most importantly understanding we aren’t in control. God is. And just as 2020 has passed ... so shall this arctic blast hitting the Midwest & throughout the US.
Be safe if you have to be out - tend to your livestock - make memories with your children. Pray & stay warm!
Now off to ... maybe catch a little more sleep!
Let your Light Shine!” - Matthew 5:16
