Choose Your Hard ...

Happy Wednesday folks ... today got me thinking about a lot of things. Particularly the fact I should be packing and not writing ... but that’s besides the point. It’ll get done eventually today...

🌟

Life is Not Easy - Plan and Simple.

Being a Morning Person - yep. That’s me. I thrive best between 4am and Noon. But that’s not always easy ... especially if I don’t sleep well or I don’t get to bed until late ..

Driving a Tractor May look easy and BE easier for some (Yea - - Jason makes everything look easy EVERYTHING!) but there’s things that don’t come easy for him too.

You learn to work past it.

You learn to choose your hard.

You learn to see what you’re made of & how to keep growing that dream.

Life isn’t easy - but you can decide what level of HARD you want it to be.

It’s HARD for me to leave the Farm. It’s my security blanket since leaving the Finance World in 2018.

Hard to walk out the door for a few days - mentally more than any thing. But I know to grow I need to be pushed out of my comfort zone.

Choose YOUR hard for 2021. We done survived 2020... it’s a new year. It’s a new time in our lives. Go & Grow. Find yourself. Dare to take that Leap of Faith ... quit the job - lose the weight - have that baby - get married - build your dream life ... because NO one is holding you back. Besides your own self.

Yes. I’m preaching to myself now ... maybe I should just put that on auto repeat today as I go through my Chore List & my Pre-Trip Plans.

....

“Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Choose your hard. Obesity is hard. Being fit is hard. Choose your hard. Being in debt is hard. Being financially disciplined is hard. Choose your hard. Communication is hard. Not communicating is hard. Choose your hard. Life will never be easy. It will always be hard. But we can choose our hard. Pick wisely.” —Unknown

Here’s the thing: life can be easy. People choose to do what’s “easy” every single day. In fact, I’d argue that people choose to do what’s easy in life more than they choose to do what’s hard. After all, it’s in our nature. We’re wired to follow the path of least resistance. But, here’s what’s more—choosing to do what’s easy nowdoesn’t last. In fact, in almost every case, it only makes life harder later. It’s the principle of delayed gratification (more on this below). So, while life can be easier from choosing the easier options, the truth is, it’s only a temporary easier. Experiencing the “hard” in life is not a matter of if, but a matter of when. And take heed, hard now and hard later are not created equal.

Go find your hard ... < yea I sort of had to retype and rethink that one 🤦🏻‍♀️> but you GET the picture.

Is it going to be easier to stay stuck and unhappy?! Or pay off in the end.
